This painting is part of a recent body of work 'Florescence' (meaning 'to bloom'). These pieces are an untamed celebration of Spring; new life, blossoming, warmth and the dreamy scent of this beautiful time of year. Layering different mediums to play with texture, saturation and luminosity, I set out to capture the colour and movement of new life up close enough to almost reach out and pick a bloom.
