Judith Dalozzo

Judith Dalozzo is an Australian artist based on the Gold Coast, born in Adelaide in 1971. Her formative years were shaped by a bohemian, nomadic childhood, travelling across Australia with her artist parents and older brother. Immersed in a creative environment from an early age, Judith developed a deep appreciation for the arts, completing her first oil painting at just nine years old in her mother’s studio. This early exposure to still life painting and the study of light, shadow and form laid the foundation for a lifelong artistic practice.

At nineteen, Judith undertook formal studies in Europe at the École Supérieure d’Art Plastique et Visuel in Mons, Belgium. This pivotal period broadened her artistic perspective and refined her technical approach, allowing her to engage deeply with European art traditions while expanding her visual language.

Judith’s contemporary practice spans still life, florals, urban landscapes and abstract compositions. Her works are united by a sensitivity to colour, texture and form, often capturing fleeting moments of quiet beauty within everyday subjects. Texture plays a central role in her paintings, adding depth and tactility, while her abstract works explore emotional resonance through expressive mark-making. Through each deliberate brushstroke, Judith invites viewers to slow down and engage with the subtle poetry of the ordinary, transformed through an intuitive and richly layered artistic lens.
